BUSINESS EXPANSION & RELOCATION
Atlanta has enjoyed being a top migration city for a number of years. The city is attractive because of its world class business community, its accessibility to customers in the South, the nation and the world, its welcoming people and warm weather. The city attracts Fortune 500 companies (#3 in the nation) and college educated young professionals (#1 in the nation). The Atlanta Development Authority works closely with our economic development partners at the Metro Chamber, Fulton County, Georgia Power and the Georgia Department of Economic Development, to work with business who are considering a move to Atlanta.

The City of Atlanta's goals for job creation are primarily based on the continuing expansion of businesses that are currently located in the City.

Businesses are expanding because:

  • A vibrant business community with world-class business and support services
  • Excellent logistics with the airport, interstate access and rail connections
  • Talented and highly skilled workforce
