200 Peachtree, Located in Former Macy's Building, Moves Forward

ATLANTA – Imagine Downtown, Inc. (IDI), an affiliate entity of the Atlanta Development Authority (ADA), has provided a $12 million New Markets Tax Credit mezzanine loan to convert the former Macy’s department store in downtown Atlanta into 200 Peachtree, a major mixed-use retail and entertainment destination. This $35 million project is located on Peachtree Street and occupies the first three floors of the historic building.

Atlanta's Newest Tax Allocation Districts Now Open for Development

The long awaited Commercial Tax Allocation Districts are open for application as of June 30, 2010. The CTADs – Campbellton Road TAD, Hollowell/MLK TAD, Metropolitan Parkway TAD, and Stadium Neighborhoods TAD – are primarily focused on larger commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments with total project sizes of $5 million and greater. The Atlanta Development Authority (ADA) has provided downpayment subsidies to homebuyers since May 2007 with the goal of helping working families live closer to their jobs and begin building wealth. With its most recent closing, ADA has made homeownership a reality for 500 families.

ADA Closes $19.7 Million Residential Development Deal in South Atlanta Represents the First Multifamily Tax Exempt Bond Closing for the Authority in Three Years

The housing finance division of The Atlanta Development Authority (ADA), closed bonds to finance the Amal Heights Townhomes project on May 20th.  This deal represents the first tax exempt bond financing that ADA has funded since 2007 when the credit markets began to weaken.

SUBWAY Restaurants Makes Aggressive Expansion into Atlanta's Emerging Markets Campbellton Road Store Opens April 5

SUBWAY Restaurants currently has 60 new stores in development in North Georgia, with plans to open at least seven locations in Atlanta’s emerging markets within the next eight months. The location at 2151 Campbellton Road will reopen April 5 after having been closed for six months for renovations.
